The laboratory of cardboard is in addition to workshops that we organize periodically.
To perform and carry out work with papier mache you must have:
Old newspaper (preferably daily);
A basin of water;
Glue;
So much creativity!
The first step is the realization that the dough needs a little time ...
The second step is the "creativity"
- The very first step is to fill a basin of warm water, preferably, within which you are going to dip pieces of paper torn by hand, holding them to soak for at least a whole day
- Done spend the time necessary, drain the pieces of paper with a colander and squeeze them well so that all excess water is eliminated, if the pieces of paper may prove hard to the touch still, boil them in water for about twenty minutes and then repeat the draining;
- We shall then taking small amounts of paper at a time and "beat" (hence the name of "paper") with the use of a mortar, and from this operation should leave a mess easily shaped;
- Then let it dry for a few hours the 'mix and add to it the glue that will help maintain the shape of objects we're going to move;
- knead, you will get exactly the mix needed for the implementation of our creations.
